EPE Celebrates National Indigenous Peoples Day
Today, Elk Point Elementary had the honor of recognizing National Indigenous Peoples Day. We were privileged to have Wanda Stanley and Adrienne Waskahat join us from the Frog Lake Band Council. Efrem Saddleback from Maskwacis shared his incredible singing and hand drumming talent and Zane Wade from Frog Lake captivated us with an amazing Horse Dance.
Our very own EPE students, Delaney Swedgan and Derrace Kitchemokaman, also showcased their talents. Delaney performed a vibrant Fancy Dance, and Derrace graced us with a beautiful Jingle Dance.
A heartfelt thank you to all our special guests for sharing their knowledge and talents with us! Special thanks to Ms. Ziomek for organizing the wonderful event and to everyone who joined us today.
